Grieving mothers of Nineveh

Tel Isqof, Nineveh Plain. Hundreds of Christians in Iraq have been murdered, including nuns and priests. Some were given the choice between conversion to Islam or death. At least 42 churches have been attacked or bombed since June 2004. Female students in Bosra and Mosul were attacked for not wearing veils. Some had acid sprayed in their faces. Recently the bishop of Mosul was kidnapped and later found murdered. Many Iraqi Christians have received letters with the text: disappear or you will be killed
